The beginning of the story
The Yamaha YZ have wrote history of contemporary motocross. Launched in 1974, the 125 YZ is Yamaha’s first 125cc MX motorbike. This production Racer is therefore the first in the huge lineage of YZ 125, which will allow several generations of crossmen to learn, progress and win races on MX’s courses around the world. If the 1974 model is strongly derived from a trail bike, the 125 DT, Yamaha will quickly change the game the next year by offering a pure racing bike specifically dedicated to motocross, the Yamaha YZ 125 B with cantilever suspension.
